In case you haven’t noticed, Google is the player in search marketing. As of May 2019, Google has 76% desktop market share for search engine usage in the United States; and 94% mobile market share for search engine usage in the United States. Their market share dominance adds up to over 2 trillion searches per year (worldwide, US data is not available). With so much search activity happening on Google, it has and continues to make sense for marketers to focus the bulk of their attention on the search enginge giant.
